Day 102: Pitbull Secret Santa gift

Day 102:

Sorry I've fallen so behind on the Pokeddexy challenge. I'm gonna keep doing it, no worries. I've just had a lot on my plate recently is all!

The art department of my job is doing a secret santa art trade thing. Unfortunately, I only started recently so I don't know my co-workers incredibly well yet, and all I really know about the girl I got was that she really likes and has a pitbull... Sooo... This is what I'm giving her. I hope she likes it. Wish me luck! Expect Pokeddexy updates soon!

Day 94: Subway sketches

Day 94:

Some people I've encountered on the subway over the past month or so.

Day 93: Bronx Zoo sketches

Day 93:

Some sketches from the Bronx Zoo!

Day 89: Giant Salamanders, Deep-sea sketches and Abe Sapien

Day 89:

Haven't posted any sketchbook pages in a while have I? Lets change that!

The first two pages were made because I wanted to better understand some things I'm gonna need to draw in an upcoming project. The last just exists because Abe Sapien is ridiculously fun to draw.

Day 87: Don't Stop Me Now

Day 87:

"..I'm a shooting star leaping through the skies. Like a Tiger defying the laws of gravity..."

I've been listening to  "Don't Stop Me Now" for like eight hours today... I don't know why or how it happened, but I'm not complaining...

Day 86: Pen and Ink Dorbermans and Jackals

Day 86:

I got a really great new nib for my croquill, so I decided to do some quick pen and ink studies for fun. I haven't worked with pen and ink in forever, so it was really enjoyable to go back to it! It makes me wonder why I don't work at it more...

Day 78: EEEEAAAGGGGLLLLEEESSS!

Day 78:

 EEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAGGGGLLLEEESSSS!

Day 76: Mamma Bear

Day 76:

Quick study of one of my favorite things ever: Bears. I mostly made it to help cheer myself up.

I should probably finish this, but I’d rather do more studies.

Based off of Sergei Gladyshev’s photo “The Protector” (at least, that’s what I think it’s called.)

Day 74: Mantis study and digital life drawing

Day 74:

Man, I feel terrible that I haven't updated this place in so long. My logic has been that I should only upload stuff onto here that I'd show to potential employers, but then I realized that that's stupid since I should probably make either a blog or a website JUST for my portfolio anyways.

So, to get back on track, here’s a mantis study and a digital painting I made from life. They took 1 hr and 30 mins respectively.

Day 64: Sketchy Dragon Iterations

Day 64:

Some more iterations on the last dragon designs. They’re a bit more sketchy than I’d like them to be… But I think they still get their points across.

Day 63: Animal gestures

Day 63:

Some cleaned up animal gestures.

I drew each in 5 minutes or under, and then gave myself an additional 5 minutes or so to clean them up or add detail as I saw fit. It was fun.

Day 62: Dragon Sketches

Day 62:

Sketches of those previous thumbnails I showed you guys. Not sure how I feel about them…

Day 61: Dragon thumbs v2

Day 61:

Some more attempts at designing a dragon.

Day 60: Chie Satonaka sketch

Day 60:

Quick sketch of my favorite character from Persona 4.
Maaan, I feel like playing it again… But I don’t know if it’s a good idea to invest one hundred hours of my life into this game. AGAIN.

Day 59: Cassowaries

Day 59:
CASSOWARRIIIIIIEEEESSSSS!

Day 58: Dragon thumbnails

Day 58:

Designs for a dragon for an upcoming project.

Day 51: Draw-A-Thon sketches

Day 51:

Some sketches from the Pratt Draw-A-Thon I went to. 12 hrs of drawing after three days of no sleep was hard, but I'm glad I went anyways.

Day 49: Model drawings

Day 49:

Guess who's not gonna sleep tonight, tomorrow or the next day?

I also did some Bridgeman studies, but no one wants to see those…  So yeah. Afternoon well spent if you ask me. My professor may not agree tomorrow though…

Day 45: Sketch Dump

Day 45:

Sketch dump from the last couple of weeks.
