Day 66: Some studies I did a little while ago. Two of which I obviously never finished.

Day 65: Dragon Heads

Day 65: I realized I hadn’t completely worked out what I wanted my dragon’s head to look like. Based on its lifestyle, I came up with some ideas. Not sure which I’ll go with yet

Day 64: Sketchy Dragon Iterations

Day 64:

Some more iterations on the last dragon designs. They’re a bit more sketchy than I’d like them to be… But I think they still get their points across.

Day 63: Animal gestures

 

Day 63:

Some cleaned up animal gestures.

I drew each in 5 minutes or under, and then gave myself an additional 5 minutes or so to clean them up or add detail as I saw fit. It was fun.

Quick animation I made in After Effects. It's not particularly good, or well drawn, I know, but it makes me giggle a bit every time I watch it. I dunno, I guess I just find gorillas funny.

Print done in easy cut. Again, I really, really like doing prints. They’re a lot of fun.

Man, I’d really like to do a run of this and give some of them out… But eh, who would want them?

Day 54: Little Girl and Muscle Tiger in a Snowstorm

Day 54:

Someone came up to me while I was working on this and asked why the girl was so close to the tiger. I wasn’t quite sure how to respond…

I mean, I’ve never been in a blizzard with a tiger before, but I think I’d be more worried about freezing to death than getting mauled. Who knows? The tiger might even be friendly!

Day 52: The Hills Are Alive With The Sound of Kitties

Day 52:

So, we were supposed to make an animation with After Effects for our midterm. I wanted to recreate the intro to The Sound of Music, but with a cat instead of Julie Andrews... So yeah, I decided to try my hand at traditional animation.

It seemed like a good idea at the time... After all, I was just trying something completely new for my midterm. What could possibly go wrong?
